New to Solid Rock or thinking about visiting? Here’s what you can expect from Solid Rock Kids:
Biblically-based curriculum
Interactive and engaging format
Developmentally appropriate
Equipped Teachers
Completed Background checks
Teach in pairs
Prepared with a lesson
Ready to serve kids
Kids (sitting up through 6th grade) will be dismissed from the main service with a prayer of blessing. Kids will line up at the exit of the sanctuary and will head next door to the Community Room.
At the end of service, you can bring your tag to the doors of the Community Room, and the teachers will release your kids to you.
Hatchling Class
Our youngest class is the Hatchlings- created for babies and toddlers under age 2.5. After worship, these kids head directly to their class, where they will learn from a singing curriculum that focuses on how God made them and His deep love for us. This class is engaging and interactive for our youngest learners! Parents can drop kids off directly in their classroom.
Fledgling Class
Our next class up are the Fledglings, designed for toddlers and preschoolers ages 2.5-4 years old. After worship, these kids head directly to their class, where they will learn about different books of the Bible in a fun and interactive way.
Parents can drop kids off directly in their classroom, and pick up their kids at the conclusion of there service at the Community Room doors.
Pterodactyls: Pre-K & Kindergarten
Elementary and Preschool students join together in the Community Room for the first ten minutes of class to participate in their own liturgy. Although the specific liturgy may vary, it will always include scripture, call and response and singing!
At the conclusion of the liturgy time, Pre-k and kindergarteners are dismissed to their class while all of the kids sing the Doxology.
Eagles: 1st- 6th Grade
For the remainder of the service, the kids will be taught a Biblically-based lesson that is developmentally appropriate for them. Our current curriculum uses graphic organizers to teach kids an overview of each book of the Bible.
At the end of service, you can bring your tag to the doors of the Community Room, and the teachers will release your kids to you.
* Solid Rock Kids remain in their current classes until they are promoted to the next class up annually in August. Fledgling and Hatchling classes are based off children’s ages, and the Pterydactal and Eagle classes are based on grade level.
